Show me the prompt instead

Clayton Ramsey has a really interesting takeaway about AI output in "I'd rather read the prompt ", especially related to school work where the use of AI written texts poses a huge challenge for teachers. Education should ideally be about fostering a will to learn and built foundations and methods for further learning. However, grading in schools and education are based too often on just output, and students being students optimize for that. You get what you test for, and that isn't rarely what you actually want. Clayton's conclusion is that if people are using AI for anything, the prompt is often much more interesting than the resulting output from the AI model. How a student go about trying to solve an assignment says much more about their critical thinking and thought process.

Please read the whole post, it is worth reading.

The whole point of making creative work is to share one’s own experience - if there’s no experience to share, why bother? If it’s not worth writing, it’s not worth reading.
